hi,
not sure whether this is correct place to place these words or not, if a precisely statement has to be made, your writing skills rock. i'm a regular reader of your tamil blog, got introduced to it by my younger brother. i'm presently in u.s (Boston, Massachusetts) working here after my masters from Massachusetts technology university. i have read your postings both the casual rantings and serious poems, narrations etc. i feel you have reached a level where you should take some steps to take your writings to the next level (just an suggestion). i used to read and write a lot (nothing matches your skills though)during my high school and U.G days, back in India. i presently support an non-profitable publishing company which is being aiming to bring up the talented people into writing field by publishing the books with allied proceedings spent towards n.g.o efforts of poor children education. would you be interested in involving in some of pro-bono efforts which we trying to establish, i have a bunch of people, fellow young engineers along with me who will be eager to start and continuously support these efforts. but we find the sustainability of these efforts could not only be ensured by fundings but also by people like you, who have a strong non conservative approach towards writings. i would be happy if you can give me your contact, so that i can be touch with you.

regards,
Ram

Grandfather was a fool to think that dad could not stand on his own legs. Dad did stand on his legs, but was a fool to think that his s (or) d can never stand on his/her legs. you or i can also afford to be foolish enough as to make ourselves believe that our children are not worth more than depending on some other's earnings. This is some sort of a self-belief system. A culture from which we are imprisoned and it would be naive to get away from it.
Wise are those who train their offspring in a way they believe that will be able to stand on their legs, sans expecting a dollar from their parents.
Will U ?

it is our societal beliefs i guess and the 'culture' that we have been living with even without thinking or giving it a second thought. so let's be different, think on our own and live for ourself. when we say 'live for oneself', they might view it as self-centred or selfish. haiz... the world is not gonna change anymore. atleast one or 2 like us might change the way we live and not make our kids suffer...
